MARCUS - The talented South O'Brien girls racked up five firsts on their way to a runner-up finish at the Eagle Co-ed Relays in Marcus April 27th.
Orange City Unity Christian won the team title of the girls division with 173 points, followed by SOS 147, Remsen St. Mary's 98, Granville Spalding 67, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn 57, and Alta 42.
Individual firsts for the Wolverines went to Reagan Ebel with a 106-8 discus throw, Taylor Jillian's 17.05 clocking in the 100-meter hurdles, Ashton Lansink's 1:03.2 time in the 400 meters, the 4x100 relay team timed in 52.50, and the 4x400 relay unit timed in 4:23.02.
SOS also was second in the 4x200 relay in a time of 1:51.87, and second in the 4x800 in a time of 10:31.97. Katie Tesch was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.77.
SOS thirds went to the sprint medley relay in a time of 2:02.66, the distance medley relay in 4:58.96, and the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:16.81. Individual thirds went to Rachel Tilley with a 100-2 discus throw and a 30-4 shot put, Lindsay Woolston with a 13.78 clocking in the 100 meters, and Katie Tesch with a 1:16.04 time in the 400-meter hurdles.
MMC was third in the 4x100 relay in a time of 54.33, and fourth in the distance medley in a time of 5:06.93.
