The Bulldogs' Shelby Dierenfield won the high jump with a leap of 4-8, and Galva-Holstein's first place winners were Breanna Mathes, who edged SE Webster-Grand's Sverie Orngard for first in the 800 meter run, 2:30.38 - 2:30.91l, and the distance medley relay team of Brea Slaybaugh, Samantha Grayson, Mathes, and Jayde Boyle, who won in a time of 4:28.25. All three events made state.

Other top performances by the two schools in events just missing out on a state berth, included G-H's Meagan Meyer, 4th in the 400 meters (1:06.21); Boyle 4th in the 1500 meters in 5:20.99; Aurelia's shuttle hurdle team in a school-record time of 1:09,27 (Jessica Cougill, Kristine Munden, Priscilla Otto, and Katee Dean), which earned them a third place finish behind Ar-We-Va and Southern Cal, which turned in two of the best times in the state. The Bulldogs' 4x100 team of Munden, Dean, Christa Corderman, and Dierenfield placed 4th, in a time of 53.48.

Also making state was Galva-Holstein's 4x800 team (Boyle, Courtnie Voss, Maddy McAreavy, and Mathes), which took 3rd, in 11:06.75.
