The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors is now on its summer schedule for meetings, a schedule that will last until September.
They will meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month rather than every Tuesday. Meetings will usually start at 9 a.m. as they have prior to the summer schedule.
The schedule was approved on Tuesday.
The schedule is subject to change, with the addition of special meetings as needed. Actually, the first special meeting occurs this afternoon, Friday, as James Tiernan is sworn in as the new county attorney. The possibility of a special election might create the need for another special meeting this summer.
