Kenneth A. Woltman, 88 of Rural Cherokee, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the Cherokee Villa Nursing & Rehab Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee.
Kenneth was born May 13, 1919 on the family farm in Rock Township, Cherokee County, to Nicholas and May (Armstead) Woltman.
He was baptized at the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. and graduated from Quimby High School in 1936. Kenneth was married to Berniece Hollingshead on May 29, 1942 at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Cleghorn. He farmed all his life on the family farm in Rock Township, raising cattle and hogs.
Woltman was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing, visiting with people about farming, loved to go shopping and looking through family picture albums.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother in infancy, three brothers-in-law Marvin Warburton, Henry King and Ed Willard.
He is survived by his wife Berniece and three sisters-in-law: Evelyn King of Springfield, New Jersey; Sally Warburton of Cherokee; Beverly Willard of Lake Stevens, Wash., three nieces and two nephews.
