The South O'Brien softball team won two of three War Eagle Conference games recently, defeating West Sioux 6-2 and Le Mars Gehlen 9-2, and falling 4-0 to rated Sergeant Bluff-Luton.

In the 4-0 loss to SB-L, SOS managed seven hits, with Lansink leading the way with a 3-3 effort. Rachel Steinkamp had two singles, and Egdorf and Christine Haden each had a hit. The Wolverines loaded the bases in both the fourth and sixth innings, but failed to score.
Roberts took the mound loss for SOS, giving up four runs on nine hits and no walks, with five strikeouts.
"I feel we're playing good softball," said Helfter. "As the season progresses and our offense gains some confidence, I hope that will translate into more wins."
