AURELIA - The Aurelia Bulldogs committed nine errors on the way to a five-inning 10-0 thumping by the Sac City Indians in Northwest Conference baseball action here on Friday.

Aurelia coach T.J. Schaefer said "the only bright spots in the offense were senior Tanner Winterhof and junior Jared Bruce each going 1 for 2."

Bruce and Kody Pinkerton pitched a combined five innings, striking out four. Only one Sac run was of the earned variety.

On Tuesday here, the Aurelia squad took on the Ar-We-Va Rockets of the Boyer Valley Conference, and stayed with them through six innings, trailing 4-3 going into the seventh. In the final frame, though, Ar-We-Va scored six times to post a final score of 10-3.

Tanner Winterhof pitched well, going six innings and giving up four runs, while striking out three. The senior also led the 'Dog attack, going 1 for 2 with a walk, scoring a run, driving one in, and stealing a base. Freshman Matt Todd also went 1 for 2 and drove in a run.

The Bulldogs have a busy week ahead with three conference contests. They play at Alta on Monday, host Laurens-Marathon on Tuesday, travel to Peterson to play Sioux Central on Thursday, and wrap up by hosting Newell-Fonda on Friday.
