AURELIA - The Aurelia Bulldogs lost a tough non-conference game here Tuesday night to Laurens-Marathon, 12 - 9. The Bulldogs "really got the bats going tonight for the first time in a while," said head coach T.J. Schaefer. Senior Tanner Winterhof and sophomore Camrin Meyer collected three hits apiece for the 'Dogs, and each drove in two runs also. Junior Jared Bruce had two hits and scored three runs. Schaefer was happy that "some sophomores, freshmen, and eighth graders stepped it up at the varsity level" in Tuesday's contest. In addition to sophomore Meyer, freshman Dalton Jones had a hit and scored a run, and eighth grader Cody Wilson drew three walks and scored

Winterhof pitched 5 1/3 innings and only three of the runs he surrendered were earned runs. Winterhof struck out three and gave up 10 hits, which included two home runs.
