Getting the win on the mound for the Lady Pirates was Jaime Christensen, who gave up one run on five hits and one walk, and struck out six in seven innings of work.
G-H rapped out 16 hits in the game, with every Pirate batter getting at least one hit. Leading the way were Heather Joslin 2-4 with three RBI, Lindsey Joslin 2-5 with one RBI, Sam Grayson 3-5 with two RBI, Dani Boyle 2-4 and two runs scored, Allie Wagoner 2-4 and one RBI, Emily Schiernbeck 2-4, and Kristina Harris and Sara Lichter, each cracking a double.
"We're happy with the effort in all aspects of the game," said Pirate coach Scott Phelps. "The pitching was solid, defense was solid, and our hitting came alive and found some holes."
G-H takes a 17-18 overall record down tourney trail.
The Lady Pirates lost their last regular season game 4-2 at Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn last week.
Leading hitters for G-H were Lindsay Joslin 2-3 with an RBI, and Allie Wagoner 2-3 with a double.
