The home of the 125-year-old Congregational Church in Peterson, Iowa.
The First Congregational Church of Peterson celebrated 125 years of service to the community on Sunday August 19.

The worship service at 10 a.m. featured Rev. David A. Hawke, who served as pastor pf the congregation from Nov. of 1978 to June of 1985. A dinner was served at 11 a.m. for church family and guests.

An afternoon program starting at 1 p.m. included a Hymn sing, featuring Ryan Brown and Karen Dardar. Seven persons have been invited to share recollections from the past, including Arden Raveling, Rev. Tom Van Tassel, June Berg, Rev. Tonna Parsons, Ruth Larson, Rev. Michael Hyde and Colleen Ankerstjerne.
