Rachel Halder and Cody Lucas
Rachel Ann Halder and Cody Daniel Lucas, both of Cherokee, were united in marriage on May 11, 2007 at 6 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Cherokee. Deacon LeRoy Rupp, grandfather of the bride, officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Dan and Janet Lucas and Mike and Deb Halder, all of Cherokee.

Her father presented the bride in marriage.

Serving the bride as the Maid of Honor was friend of the couple Jodi Schlichting. Bridesmaids included Molly Lundell, friend of the couple, Sara Lucas, sister-in-law of the groom, and Jenny Halder, sister of the bride.

Serving the groom as Best Man was his brother Brandon Lucas. Groomsmen included Dan Niemeier, friend of the couple, Jake Schutt, friend of the couple, and Nick Halder, brother of the bride.

Serving as flower girl was the cousin of the bride, Savanna Rupp.

Ushers for the ceremony were Collin Christensen, friend of the couple, Brian Smith, friend of the couple, and Austin Lucas, cousin of the groom.

The bride's personal attendant was Jamie Renken, friend of the bride.

Hosts for the ceremony were Ron and Shannon Goth and Mark and Ann Lundell, all friends of the couple.

Vocalist was Nick Halder and organist was Sherry Held.

A reception followed at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Cherokee.

Rachel is a 2002 graduate of Washington High School. She attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated in 2006 with a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She is a teacher in the Storm Lake Community School District.

Cody is a 2002 graduate of Washington High School. He attended Hawkeye Community College and is a certified Heating and Cooling Technician. He is currently employed with Modern Heating and Cooling in Cherokee.

The couple reside in Cherokee.
