AURELIA- The inexperienced Aurelia volleyball squad's record fell to 0-2 after they suffered another non-conference loss here on Thursday night, falling to the Clay Central-Everly Mavericks by game scores of 10-25, 20-25, 9-25.

Bulldog coach Tim Ireland said he felt his team had a "much better night" than they did in their season-opening match Tuesday against River Valley.

Arielle Megrath had 21 attacks at the net, with seven kills. Sophomore Erin Laursen had four kills, was 10-10 serving - including two aces- and also tied for the team lead in setting with 15, including two for aces. Jodi Husman also had 15 sets, three for aces, and Tiffany Johnson had two blocks on defense.

"We played a lot better," said Coach Ireland. "We are getting better, and had some great plays tonight. I was proud of our effort."

The Bulldogs won two of three close games in the Junior Varsity match - 22-20, 21-23,16-14, and CC-E won two C-team games, 8-21,16-21.
