Fund Drive starts

The Cherokee County Fund Drive Hot Dog Days will start Oct. 1 at 4 p.m. in Quimby. Once again the annual fund drive will be serving hot dogs in the following towns in Cherokee County: Washta on Oct. 2, Marcus on Oct. 3, Cleghorn on Oct. 4, Larrabee on Oct. 5, Meriden on Oct. 8 and Aurelia on Oct. 9. Serving hot dogs will begin at 4 p.m. on every date.

Volunteers will be grilling hot dogs and have pop and cookies on hand for anyone willing to give a donation to the county fund drive. The money raised will be distributed between the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, the Council on Aging, the Salvation Army, Mid-Sioux Opportunity, the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Center Victim Services Center, Associated Charities and Bright Beginnings Day Care.
