Superintendent Julie DeStigter reported to the River Valley School Board on Oct. 15 that the bus barn project is on track.
Most structural work has been completed, with electrical and plumbing work the big items remaining to be done.
DeStigter announced that the certified enrollment in the district had dropped to 455 students, a loss of 13 students from the previous year. The loss of students results in a loss in the per-pupil funding established by the state for the general operating budget.
The board accepted the resignation of Deb Langschwager as a teacher’s aide.
The board assigned Kirk Utesch as board representative to the Woodbury County Conference Board.
The board approved early graduation for three students.
The board approved adjustments in insurance coverage of vehicles, making the deductible amount more consistent.
