Cathy Anderson of Golden Valley, Minn. and Jason Knutson of Columbia Heights, Minn wish to announce their engagement and approaching marriage. Parents of the couple are Clarence and Koreen Anderson of Cherokee and Larry and Rita Knutson of Maple Grove, Minn.

Cathy is a 1995 graduate of Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. She is currently employed in the Fine Arts Department at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn.

Jason received a degree from Northland Community and Technical College, Thief River Falls, Minn., and is currently employed at the University of Minnesota as a technician.

A December wedding in Columbia Heights, Minn. is being planned.
