On November 15, the Cherokee Arts Council presented the second annual "Musical Stroll" through downtown Cherokee, to raise funds for Arts Council projects. The first stop was The Copper Cup, where strollers were treated to the acoustic music of Charlie Leissler, along with a bowl of chili and a cup of coffee.

A nice crowd gathered at The Gathering Place in Cherokee on Nov. 15 to have some wine and cheese and enjoy the music of the BVU Jazz Ensemble - the second stop on the 2007 Musical Stroll through downtown Cherokee. Photo by Dan Whitney
The next stop was The Gathering Place, where wine and cheese were served as the audience listened to the jazz stylings of the Buena Vista University Jazz Ensemble - a group of BVU students who are NOT music majors. Cherokee's Dr. David Klee, a professor at BVU, conducted the group.

The final stop was at The Sanford Museum, where participants enjoyed dessert and viewed the Ben Laposky exhibit. Laposky was a Cherokee native who was an early contributor to the world of graphic art.
