Marlene M. Thideman, age 74, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
A Memorial Service was held at the Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, Wisc., with Pastor Edwin Stigen officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to HospiceCare Inc.
Marilyn Ludwig was born in Plymouth County on Oct. 25, 1933, the daughter of the late John and Helen (Litzo) Ludwig. She was united in marriage to Carl Thideman Sr. in 1954. Marlene was once employed by Foremost Farms (Wisconsin Dairies) in Baraboo, and Piggly Wiggly in Sauk City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen (Litzo) Ludwig of Marcus; her sister, Donna Gothier of Loveland, Colo.; and two brothers, Kenneth Ludwig of Marcus, and Cornelius Ludwig of Raymondville, Mo.
She is survived by her five children. John Thideman of Middleton, Wis.; Carl Jr. (Kim) Thideman of McHenry, Ill.; James Thideman of Ava, Mo.; Charles (Melisa) Thideman of Tomah, Wis. and Susan Thideman of Madison, Wis. She is also survived by five grandchildren and many friends.
