Grandparents of the bride are Chuck and Dorothy Perrin of Cherokee and the later Joyce Perrin and Walt and Sylvesta Slota of Washta. The groom's grandparents are Dick and Darlene Hirschman of Cherokee and Bob Conley of Cherokee and the late Sharon Conley. The wedding was held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley.
Matron of Honor was Julia's sister, Jana Happe. Bridesmaids were Kristi Kannegieter, friend of the couple; Abby Tentinger, cousin of the bride; and Kayla Hatch, friend of the couple. Jaylee Happe, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Karen Slota, aunt of the bride, was the bride's personal attendant.
Best man was Brett Muller, friend of couple; groomsmen were Jon Conley, brother of the groom; Willie Good, friend of the couple and Chad Reinholdt, friend of the couple. Ushers were Jason Cook, Justin Nuckolls, Matt Rolland and Dan Niemeier, all friends of the couple. Simon Mummert, friend of the groom, was the ring bearer. Colton Happe, nephew of the bride, was the honorary ring bearer.
Organist and aunt of the groom, Janelle Conley and Jim Conley, the trumpeter and uncle of the groom accompanied vocalist, Kim and Justin Schroeder. The bride's aunt, JoAnn Perrin and groom's aunt, Sue Hirschman, attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at the bride's parents' home. Serving as Host and Hostess were the aunt and uncle of the groom, Steve and Kelli Hirschman, and friends of the couple, Jim and Diana Stowater.
The couple honeymooned in Austin, Texas. Julia is working for Media Captioning Services as a television captioner. Tyson is employed by Merchants Bonding Company in Des Moines as a Commercial Surety Underwriter. The Couple makes their home in Pleasant Hill.
