The Bulldogs got off to an early lead and led the Eagles 11-8 at the first quarter break. The Eagles then went on a run and by halftime had taken the lead, 21-15. They increased the lead by a point in the third quarter, and held a 32-25 edge going into the final stanza. When the final buzzer sounded, MMC was on top, 47-38.
Samantha Taylor paced MMC's scoring with 21 points,including three second quarter 3-pointers. Kaylee Dreckman had nine points, all in the second half, and Rachel McDermott and Ashley Schneider scored seven each. The Eagle "D" came up big, forcing the Bulldogs into 21 turnovers.
Senior point guard Leah Kai led Bulldog scoring with 13 points and fellow senior Tiffany Johnson had 10. Freshman Audrey Winterhof scored seven. Sophomore Erin Laursen had eight rebounds for the Bulldogs, and Kaitlin Sandine added seven boards. Meghan Glawe had five rebounds and Kai four. Kayla Bruns had four assists and Kai added three for Coach Tim Galvin's Aurelia squad.
