SOS girls beat Alta

Monday, December 3, 2007

PAULLINA - The South O'Brien girls "came out strong and played a solid game," said coach Julie Paulsen following a 46-35 non-conference win over Alta in basketball action here on Monday.

Paulsen said the Wolverines "implemented a new defense and offense without practicing it, and they handled it well." Paulsen said that Chelsie Rohrs had a "great all-around game," but added that she was "proud of each of (the team members)."

SOS led at each stop - 20-13, 28-19, and 36-33 - before posting the final 46-35 score.

Rohrs scored 29 points to lead the Wolverines, and also led them in rebounding with seven (tied with Aphton Roberts) and steals with three (Roberts had two). Reagan Ebel dished out four assists to lead the Wolverines in that department.
