New officers at CPD

CPD officer Josh Douglas
The Cherokee Police Department recently added two new officers to the force, as Josh Douglas joined the force on October 29 and Travis Rupp on November 10.

Douglas, 20, is a native of Sioux City, and graduated from the Police Academy in his hometown on October 25. He worked for the Police Department in Moville for six months while he attended the academy. Douglas is single, and his family still resides in the Sioux City area.

CPD officer Travis Rupp
Rupp 23, is a native of Quimby and alumnus of River Valley High School. He later successfully completed the Police Science program at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City. Rupp is married, and he and his wife Cassie, a Correctionville native, have no children.
