Geraldine "Jerry" Edna Jolly, 88, of Ames, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007 at her home in Timberland Village in Story City. Funeral services were held on Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church in Ames with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial was in Ames Municipal Cemetery. Stevens Memorial Chapel is assisting her family.
Geraldine Jolly was born on Nov. 22, 1919 in Louisville, Ky. to Gottfried and Edna (Bickle) Oehrle.
She married Francis Jolly on Jan. 2, 1950 in Daytona Beach, Fla. She was a resident of Ames for forty years and Story City, the past four years.
She enjoyed her family, friends, sing-a-long chorus and bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Margie; and a brother, Fred.

She is survived by her son, Lynn (Diane) Jolly of Cherokee; two daughters, Dawn (Dennis) Heaberlin of Story City and Shari (Kyl) Cabbage of West Des Moines; eight grandchildren, Xena, Ross and Todd Jolly, Alex and Nathan Heaberlin, Amber Culp, and Margaret and Siena Cabbage; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine (Charles) Bacom of Port Orange, Fla.
