Lowell Elvin Lindstrom, 80, passed away gently and peacefully on Jan. 6, 2008, surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.
A family prayer service in memory of Lowell was held on Thursday Jan. 10, 2008, with the Pastor Dale Farwell officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the family plot at the Laurens, Iowa Cemetery.

He was born May 1, 1927 to Elvin and Lottie (Muller) Lindstrom in Havelock, Iowa. After graduation in 1945 Lowell served in the Navy during WWII.
Lowell married Roberta Mackie of Laurens, on March 9, 1952.
He retired in 1987 as a federal meat inspector. Lowell and Lottie lived In Laurens, Spencer, Cherokee, and 30 years in Sutherland, before moving to Sun City, Ariz. in 1996. For entertainment in retirement, Lowell worked at Ace Hardware as a locksmith.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents Elvin and Lottie, his sister Dorothea Bowers, and two infant granddaughters.
His wife Roberta and his six children will lovingly remember Lowell. Michael, El Mirage, Ariz., Brian (Nanette) Fulton, Mo., Linda Rehder (Mark) Bradenton, Fla., Kent, Phoenix, Ariz., Sheila Christensen (Kevin) Peoria, Ariz., and Kerry (Sandy) Surprise, Ariz.are Lowell's children. His 12 grandchildren, Jonathan, Whitney, Krista, Kyla, Aric, Daniel, Shawn, Brooke, Kellie, Chad, Lucas, Wesley and great-grandchild Tyler will also fondly remember him. He is also survived by his brothers, Lloyd (Patricia) and Kenneth (Sally) and a host of other relatives and many friends.
