Amanda Christine Beyer and Aaron Michael Steffen, both of Ames, are pleased to announce their engagement and plans for a June 7 wedding at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport.

The ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. and a reception to follow at 5 p.m. at The Golden Leaf Center in Davenport.

Amanda is the daughter of Roger and Sherrie Beyer of Eldridge and the granddaughter of Lee and Loris Beyer of Elizabeth, Ill. and Kearney Fitsch of Monroe, Wis.

Aaron is the son of Kathy Steffen of Marcus and Jim Steffen of Quimby, and is the grandson of Carole Steffen of Sioux City.

Amanda is a 2003 graduate of Davenport West High School in Davenport and received her Bachelor Degree form Iowa State University in Animal Ecology/Wildlife Care in 2007. She is presently a student of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University in Ames.

Aaron is a 2003 graduate of Aurelia High School in Aurelia and earned his Bachelor Degree form Iowa State University in Animal Ecology/Criminal Justice in 2007. He is presently employed with Soil Tek in Des Moines.
