MAPLETON - Galva-Holstein's boys basketball team "struggled scoring points in the second quarter," said coach Bob Lee, and Battle Creek-Ida Grove took advantage of that to build a 12-point halftime lead on the way to a 64-48 victory in the semifinals of the annual Maple Valley Conference Tournament here Friday night.
Coach Lee said he was "proud of how our guys fought back in the second half, and didn't quit."
Lee also had compliments for his opponent on their play, saying, "BCIG did a nice job of sharing the ball on offense and playing aggressively on defense."
