WOODBINE - Galva-Holstein boys basketball coach Bob Lee said his team "started out real well" in their District Tournament game with Boyer Valley here on Feb. 16th, "but in the second half," said Lee," we got a little lazy and took some things for granted."
Boyer Valley fought back in the second half and made it close, said the Pirate coach, but, he said, "our guys kept calm heads and executed nicely in the fourth quarter to get the win (56-49). We played very unselfish, and really spread the ball around," said the pleased Pirate coach.
Taylor Nees scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Pirates, and he also dished out three assists and blocked two shots. Ben Andresen also scored 16 points, and added five rebounds and five assists. Not to be outdone, Mark Cronin also scored in double digits, with 13 points, and tacked on five boards, four steals and four assists for Coach Lee's team.
