Roswitha "Hedgie" Brandt (left) is sworn in as the County Treasurer Monday by Cherokee County Attorney Ryan Kolpin. Brandt has worked in the Treasurer's Office for about 25 years, and has served as the Deputy Treasurer since 2001. She was selected by the Board of Supervisors to complete the term of Lynde Lundquist, who recently retired. The Treasurer's position will be on the ballot in the November 2008 general election.
