Wilcox Completes Extensive Genex Training Program

Monday, March 17, 2008

Zach Wilcox
Zachary Wilcox, formerly of Marcus, Iowa, graduated from the two-week basic training program at the Genex Cooperative, Inc. headquarters in Shawano, Wis. The training program was the first step in preparing Wilcox for his career in the cattle artificial insemination (A.I.) industry.

The initial training program taught students the basics of cattle genetics and reproductive systems, semen production, marketing, and Genex products and programs. However, education also extended beyond the classroom as Wilcox gained hands-on experience in semen handling, cattle heat detection and A.I.

After gaining additional field training, Wilcox now serves as a Genex Marketing Development Associate. This Iowa State University graduate provides dairy and beef producers in southern Wisconsin complete reproductive management including heat detection, synchronization protocol management, A.I., and data input and analysis. He resides in Madison, Wis.
