The Cherokee City Council unanimously approved adoption of the proposed 2008-09 fiscal budget, totaling $8,429,527, at their meting on March 11.
Of that total, $1,438,369 comprises the General Fund, including police and fire departments, library, Parks & Recreation, Oak Hill Cemetery, administration, and City Hall. The balance includes water and sewer funds, and city debt service.
