Ben Puttmann, a native of Washta and Buena Vista University graduate, is now employed as a Graphic designer at Wells Fargo Bank in Des Moines, where he lives with his wife.

For a few years while he was in college, Ben wrestled professionally, under the name of "Christian Moore." He has written a book, "Being Moore," chronicling his experience in the wrestling business, and on Saturday March 15 he was in Cherokee to sign copies of his book at the Book Vine. Puttmann had wrestled the last match of his wrestling career the previous night in Des Moines, as part of a team, and said he could "feel the bumps and bruises."
