FORT DODGE - Jessica Hunecke and Kylie Dilla, a pair of Iowa Central Community College basketball standouts from Cherokee, have earned first team All-Region honors from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.

Hunecke, a sophomore center, and Dilla, freshman guard, were the driving forces behind a 29-4 season for the Tritons, which easily smashed the previous school record for wins. Of Iowa Central's four losses, three were to two-time defending national champion Kirkwood.

Hunecke led the team in four major categories: scoring (13.4 points per game), rebounding (8.5), blocked shots (2 per game) and field goal shooting (68 percent). She was first in the conference in shooting percentage, second in rebounding and third in scoring.

Also for Iowa Central, sophomore Danni Huss was picked to the second All-Region team, and sophomores Angela Brinkmeyer and Morgan Brown and freshman Abby Brend were named to the third team.
