Martin's Access Project, Aurelia Community Center among beneficiaries

The annual Cherokee Knights of Columbus "money calendar" sales have now come to a successful close for 2008. In addition to five area high school seniors receiving college scholarship money from the sales, 60 local residents won $50 each in calendar drawings and two people won $500 each.

Two local projects were chosen to receive $750 each from calendar proceeds this year - the new Aurelia Community Center and the Martin's Access Addition Project.

Ginger Walker, director of the Cherokee Conservation Board, and Aurelia Community Center representatives Mayor Jeff Bowen and Building Committee chair Roger Redig, received $750 checks for their projects from representatives of the Cherokee Knights of Columbus recently.

The Cherokee Knights of Columbus thank everyone who made the Money Calendar such a success again this year.
