"Daylight Again," the Cherokee-based band performing a Crosby, Stills, & Nash Tribute, plays at 8 p.m. Saturday night May 24th at The Castle on The Hill at 12th & Jackson Streets in Sioux City (the former Central High School).
The CSN band is comprised of founder Randy Martin of Quimby, and Cherokeans Jimmy Davis and Charlie Leissler, singers/guitarists who expertly cover the many CSN song hits of the 60s and 70s.
The band also includes skilled musicians Steve Alingh of Cherokee on keyboard, Jim Christensen of Holstein on drums, and Jamie Bowers of Sioux City on bass.
Admission is $15 for the two-hour program , which also includes an accompanying and riveting history-filled slide show of the troublesome times and political unrest of the 1960s and 1970s that influenced the CSN (and Neil Young) music and lyrics.
Audio and Lighting is by Wayne Morris of Morris Sound Company of Cherokee.
Advance tickets are available by contacting Jomi Anderson at KCHE Radio, The Copper Cup, and The Book Vine in Cherokee; and Flood Music Company, Ray's Midbell Music, and on weekends The Castle on The Hill Gift Shop, all in Sioux City. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the show.
