Seven different G-H batters connected for 12 base hits in the game.
Leading the way at the plate were Lindsey Joslin, who went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI; Michaela Else, 2-4 with a double and 4 RBI; and Heather Joslin
also 2-4, with a double and an RBI. Kara Slaybaugh also hit a double and Ashley Buell had an RBI single.
Getting the pitching win was sophomore Jaime Christensen, who threw seven strong innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, with all the runs being unearned. Christensen walked 2 and struck out 4.
Galva-Holstein Coach Scott Phelps was happy with the total team effort, and
especially with the defensive effort. "Hopefully," he said, "we can
build on this as we try to continue to improve."
