A memorial service was held on June 13 at the Porter Loring North Chapel in San Antonio, Texas. Inurnment and military ceremony will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Alverda Caboth was born Dec. 11, 1923, in Cherokee, to Herman and Katie Caboth. A dedicated military wife and mother, Alverda welcomed home her pilot husband from WW II and Korea, and was able to pick up and move on a moment's notice of new orders, while still caring for their two girls.
She spent most of her later years living in a health center, The Oaks, at the ARC. Alverda had a creative side to her personality and a sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Col. Adrian L. Kline; a sister, Darlene Corrington, and son-in-law Thomas Norton.
Alverda is survived by two daughters, Adria Norton and her children, Christopher Thomas and Catherine Maxie Norton; and Sharyn Wood and her children, Wesley and Erick Wood and Ashley Pendergraph; great-granddaughters Isabella and Mia Wood; one sister, Mavis Schumann, and one brother, Desel Caboth.
