defeat Kingsley-Pierson, 3-2.
The Lady Pirates got another strong pitching performance from sophomore Jaime Christensen, who pitched all seven innings, giving up two runs on three hits, while walking one and striking out four.
Leading the way at the plate for G-H with RBI singles were Brittany Ridder and Victoria Andresen.
Galva-Holstein coach Scott Phelps was happy with the win, and noted that he was especially pleased with "the way we came from behind and found a way to get the winning run across."
"We fell behind 2-0 in the first inning," said the veteran coach, "but scored single runs in the first, fourth and sixth innings to get the 3-2 win. The kids are playing solid defense and keeping us in the game to give us a chance to get victories."
The win improves Galva-Holstein's mark to 7-1 in the conference and 9-6 overall.
