G-H got another strong pitching performance from Jaime Christensen, as the sophomore hurler went all 7 innings on the mound, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits, while walking one and striking out five. At the plate for G-H, Heather Joslin went 2-3 , including a double, and scored the Lady Pirates' lone run, and Brooke Weise also had a two-bagger.
Galva-Holstein coach Scott Phelps was happy with his team's effort. "We had our chances to win," Phelps said, "but we left too many runners on base, and couldn't get the big hit when we needed it. Our defense played strong and we put the ball into play, but we just couldn't get a break when we needed one."
