The River Valley softball team has played a lot of games recently. Following is a summary of these games from RV coach Erika Slota.

vs. KP 6/24

River Valley beat Kingsley Pierson 5-1. "The bats finally came through for us...we have been struggling to string some hits together, and it finally happened tonight," said Coach Slota. Jody Peterson took the win allowing one 1 run on 5 hits with 5 strike outs. Jessica Fundermann had 3 hits for the Wolverines, and Peterson and Amanda Miller had two hits as well.

vs. BCIG 6/25

River Valley couldn't get by the Falcons, as RV lost 0-6. "BCIG is a tough team...they have an outstanding pitcher, and we had a few errors to give them a 6 -run lead," said Slota. "We put the ball in play as our hitting is coming around." Jody Peterson took the loss on the mound, giving up six hits, with three strike outs and two walks. Kari Ludvigson, Alissa Slota, Jessica Fundermann, and Trisha Todd had singles for the Wolverines.

vs. RU 6/26

River Valley got another win, beating RU 6-0. Alissa Slota had a double for the Wolverines and Kari Ludvigson, Amanda Miller, and Amber Bauer each had a single. Jody Peterson got the win on the mound., allowing three hits with two walks and five strike outs. "When the girls hit the ball, the game is a lot more fun for everyone, and the outcome is a lot better for us as well," commented Coach Slota.

RU tourney vs. Remsen St. Mary's 6/28

RV beat RSM 6-5. Alissa Slota had 2 hits for the Wolverines. Amanda Miller and Kari Ludvigson each had singles. Jody Peterson got the win, allowing four hits and striking out eight.

RU Tourney vs. Le Mars Gehlen

RV won 2-0 against the Jays. "We played Le Mars earlier in the season and couldn't finsih off with a win, but we did today," said Coach Slota." Jessica Fundermann doubled for the Wolverines and Kari LUdvigson, Alissa Slota, and Amber Bauer each had singles. Jody Peterson got the win on the mound, giving up three hits with four strike outs and one walk.
