The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors had a short meeting to deal with routine matters on July 15th.
Lisa Langlitz, community services director, informed the supervisors that she has hired a case manager at a rate of $12.50 an hour. There were six applicants for the position and Langlitz interviewed three. She said that the one hired, Dena Woltman, had good experience and qualifications. She is also a resident of the county.
Marty Jenness, assistant to the engineer, presented a work permit for the supervisors to sign.
Hedgie Brandt, treasurer, brought a list of properties for which the supervisors approved suspension of taxes. These are households which have been determined by the Department of Human Services as unable to afford taxes.
