New look at Lily of The Valley school

Fresh coat - Dick Point and Neil Phipps recently put a fresh coat of paint on the Lilly of the Valley Country School. The two scraped and painted the outside of the classic schoolhouse and also tackled the inside of the school as well.
The Lilly of the Valley School house received a fresh new look last week. The Cherokee Iowa Retired School Personnel Association received a "Keep Iowa Beautiful" grant in April to purchase 35 gallons of Diamond Vogel paint, and the paint was then used to paint the inside walls and ceiling and the exterior of the country school. Nearly complete - Although the Lilly of the Valley Country School now has a fresh coat of paint, some more painting remains to be done. The front porch and newly added outhouse still need to be painted to match the school.
