The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting on Aug/ 12 in the lower level of the Cherokee County Courthouse.
On the agenda was the Renewal of the Department of Human Services Targeted Case Management contract. Community Services Director Lisa Langlitz brought the contract to the Board for its approval. The contract provides child mental heath services for Cherokee County
Next, the Board met with Dave Shanahan, County Engineer, to discuss General business and approve a Waiver of Separation Distance for Russ Winterhof of Diamond Township. Winterhof is planning to build another turkey shed across the road from his current turkey shed.
Shanahan also updated the Board on various project from around the county, including grade work on county roads and maintaining the county's mowing obligation along the ditches.
Other business was the approval of all claims and appointment to fill a vacancy on the Board of Health. No appointment was named at this time and the spot remains vacant.
Final business on the Board's agenda was the review and modifications to the Cherokee County Personnel Policy. County Attorney, Ryan Kolpin sat down with the Board to make some minor changes to the personnel policy. The changes that were made dealt mostly with the issue of donated leave time for county employees.
