Area Students Receive Scholarships from Buena Vista University

STORM LAKE, IOWA -- A number of area students have received scholarships from Buena Vista University for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Jodi Carlson from Cherokee has received a BVU Heritage, School of Science, Loyal Hayes and Frederick and Ida Vast Endowed Scholarships. Lacie Drennan from Larrabee received the Loyal Hayes Scholarship and Arch Award. Laurie Eaton from Cherokee received a President's Scholarship and a Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. Kelsey Essick from Cherokee received the President's, School of Education, Loyal Hayes, and Cuba Deppe Scholarships. Jessica Fluke from Quimby received a President's -- Art Scholarship and Loyal Hayes Scholarship. Alanna Valentine from Cherokee received the BVU Heritage, Myron Olson, School of Education and Loyal Hayes Scholarships.
