The Cherokee Community School District Board of Education heard overviews of the building goals and action plans for the 2008-09 school year at the Sept. 8th Management Team Meeting in the Washington High School library.

The Board heard detailed reports on individual building goals and action plans from WHS Principal Larry Hunecke, Cherokee Middle School Principal Larry Weede, Roosevelt Elementary Principal Barb Radke, and new Curriculuum Director Beth McDermott.

Superintendent Dr. John Chalstrom explained that Principals' reports regarding the building goals and action plans will be requested about every two months to keep the District abreast of the administrators putting the various building goals into action by working closely with the faculty and staff.

"They will look at specific issues regarding action plans based on District goals," said Chalstrom, "and then put those goals into action."
