G-H girls win XC meet; boys fourth

MANSON - The Galva-Holstein girls won first place, and the G-H boys placed fourth at the Manson NW Webster Cross Country Invitational here on Sept. 9th.

The Lady Pirates scored 37 points to win the competition, fopllowed by Fort Dodge St. Edmond 49, Prairie Valley 85, Battle Creek-Ida Grove 131, Southern Cal-RCL156, and MNWW 161.

Jessica Mathes led the G-H girls to the finish line with a second-place in a time of 15:53, followed by Jayde Boyle fifth in 16:11, Ashley Drey seventh in 16:12, Meg Kofmehl ninth in 16:21, Brianna Mathes 14th in 16:46, Sarah Forristal 27th in 18:02, Annie McAreavy 33rd in 18:47, Shelby Bennett 44th in 19:30, Sarah Galvin 48th in 20:08, Kirstin Wessling 52nd in 20:37, and Shelby Linton 68th in 27:25.

St. Edmond won the boys team title with 53 points, followed by Prairie Valley 72, BCIG 75, G-H 84, Ar-We-Va 127, MNWW 157, Southeast Webster Grand 160, Southern Cal-RCL 248.

John Harris paced the G-H boys placing seventh in 18:35, followed by Collin Bubke niinth in 18:42, Josh Mohr 15th in 19:21, Josh Schwanz 22nd in 19:56, Isaiah Miller 31st in 20:46, Riley Cosgrove 37th in 21:13, Kyle Wessling 43rd in 21:39, Tim Martin 53rd in 22:33, Shelby Stevenson 59th in 23:04, John Klotz 67th in 24:05, and Ethan Todd 70th in 24:19.
