Edith G. Cresap, 75, of Cherokee, passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, following a short illness.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Rev. LeRoy Rupp officiated. Edith was cremated following the services, and burial will take place at a later date in Walla Walla, Washington.
Edith was born July 12, 1933 in Walla Walla, Wash. She graduated from high school in Walla Walla, and was married to Marion Cresap on April 17, 1959 in Spokane, Wash. She had lived in Cherokee since 1969, and prior to that lived in Rembrandt and Larrabee. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Edith enjoyed sewing, shopping, fishing, quilting and embroidery work.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one great - grandson, and is
survived by her husband and three children: Robert Cresap and his wife Marilyn of Louisville, Ky.; Richard Cresap and his wife Cindy of Shepherdsville, Ky;andRena Handke and her husband Randy of Shepherdsville, Ky; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one brother William Leid of Washington.
