Shelby Dilla paced the Cherokee serving effort with a 13-14 night and three aces, while Kelsie Peterson served 11-14 with five aces, and Lauren Husman 12-12 with one ace.
Peterson also led Cherokee in spiking with a 20-24 effort and seven kills, while Allie Parker finished 13-18 with six kills.
Dilla led the WHS gals in passing assists and served three aces in the final game to keep Cherokee knocking on the door.
Peterson led her team in serve receptions with 14-14, and Sarah Ruehle finished 11-13. Peterson also led in digs with an 6-9 effort.
"Kelsie did a great job serving and spiking," said Cherokee coach Sherry Miller. "Shelby did great serving and got us back in to the last game with three ace serves. She also played a big part passing.
"Lauren did a good job in setting and serving, and Allie Parker had a good hitting night. Sarah did a good job in serve receptions."
