Eveline Dunn to turn 102 on October 2

Eveline (Rasmus) Dunn will celebrate her 102nd birthday on Thursday October 2. Eveline graduated from Meriden High School in 1925, then received a two-year teaching degree from Grinnell College and began teaching in a one-room school in Cherokee County.

She married Raymond Dunn in 1929 and the couple lived and farmed in the Correctionville and Cushing area for over 40 years. Raymond died in 1993 and

Eveline has been a resident of Sunset Knoll Care Center in Aurelia for 19 years. The couple's children are Dianne Anderson of Cherokee and Larry Dunn of Severn, Md.
