2008 USD Inman recipients

The University of South Dakota Foundation announced the 2008 recipients of he Darwin and Adele Inman Award for distinguished service.

The Inman Award is the Foundation's highest award and is named in honor of Adele and Darwin Inman, who were instrumental as volunteers in the early years of the university.

Honored this year will be Joe and Janice Lundsgaard of Cherokee.

Joe is a 1956 USD School of Business graduate and was captain of Coach Harry Gamage's last Coyote football team. He was honored by the USD School of Business on its 50th Anniversary in 1977 as an outstanding alumnus and was also inducted into the Coyote Hall of Fame in 1986.

Dakota Days (Homecoming) will be Oct. 9 through Oct. 11 . The awards luncheon in Vermillion will be Friday, Oct. 10. The Lundsgaard's son, Joe M. Lundsgaard, will also be attending the luncheon, as well as celebrating his birthday that day.
