The host Bison bookended the game with touchdowns in the first and fourth quarters for their point total. Buffalo Ridge scored its first TD on two-yard run by Daren Miller and Seth Johnson's successful PAT to take an early 7-0 lead.
However, East Sac County then ran off 37 unanswered points to take command of the game. The Bison scored their other TD early in the fourth frame on a 34-yard pass play from Johnson to Ray Wedeking, with Johnson again adding the PAT.
East Sac County rushed 38 times for 251 yards, and passed 6-9 for 178 yards, three TDs, and one interception.
Tyler Kenny led the Bison's rushing attack with 23 carries for 76 yards, and Miller lugged the ball 14 times for 48 yards. Josh Alesch led the Bison in receiving with three catches for 24 yards, while Wedeking had one for 34 yards and a TD.
Mark Cronin led Buffalo Ridge on defense with five tackles, followed by Chris Bondinello, Kyle Newell, Dillon Waters, Don Gebers, and Miller with four apiece.
"Our team played a solid game in the first half and for the most part competed very well with East Sac," noted Bison coach Butch Faulkenberry. "A fumble at the end of the first half proved to be costly, as with 10 seconds left, East Sac was able to take the lead going in at halftime. On the first offensive play in the third quarter, we fumbled again and East Sac immeidately put points on the board. We never quite got back into the game after that."
