PAULLINA - In each of the games in their War Eagle Conference volleyball match against Hinton here on Oct. 7, the South O'Brien Wolverines had an early lead, surrendered it and had to battle back.
Unfortunately for S.O.S., however, they were unable to battle all the way back, and the Hinton Black Hawks won all three games, by scores of 19-25, 11-25, 9-25.
Individually for the Wolverines, Katie Tesch, Chelsie Rohrs and Karlee Kunkel had three kills each; Christine Haden had 14 digs and Chelsie Rohrs nine; Amber Hain, Taylor Julian and Kari Wester each had three assists; Chelsie Rohrs had one block and Amber Hain one ace serve.
South O'Brien coach Denise Erdmann summed up the night thusly, "Hinton served tough and attacked the ball."
The Wolverines are now 2-5 in conference play and 7-17 overall.
