Bulldog girls lose at Kingsley, 3-0

KINGSLEY - The Aurelia volleball team played a non-conference match against Kingsley-Pierson at Kingsley on Oct. 13.

"It was a tough game," said Aurelia coach Ann Dornack, "but the girls tried their best and played hard."

K-P took the match 3-0, with game scores of 6-25, 15-25, 11-25.

Bulldog liebro Cassie Sleezer led the team in digs, with 27, followed by Erin Laursen with 14. Ashley Anderson and Audrey Winterhof both had three kills on offense,

Emily Rohlk and Kayla Bruns led the setters, and Dornack said the team's service was "great," led by Ashley Anderson's three ace serves and Shelby Dierenfield's two.

Laursen, Dierenfield and Anderson each had five blocks at the net.

The Bulldogs played final regular season conference match, at Schaller-Crestland on Oct. 16., then begin tournament play the following Wednesday, Oct. 22, with a rematch with Schaller-Crestland at Schaller.
